NOTICE:

For the 2016 deer hunting season, the Greenseams® Program will be eliminating the lottery program for deer hunting on all approved Greenseams® lands. Moving forward, anyone interested in deer hunting on Greenseams® lands will need to register their name through this website and will be able to hunt on any of the approved sites shown on the maps below. In addition to removing the deer hunting lottery program, except for climbing type tree stands, which can be carried in and carried out daily, the use of tree stands is strictly prohibited. Any tree stands found unattended on a property will be confiscated. Please note, the list of properties open for hunting and trapping will vary each year. The maps below indicate which properties are owned by Greenseams and are currently open for hunting and trapping. Properties purchased by Greenseams are eventually transferred to local municipalities, local land trusts, or the WI DNR for long term ownership. Once transferred, the Greenseams Program no longer controls the site for hunting purposes and the site is removed from the maps below.

How do I gain permission to hunt Greenseams® properties?

All Applicants By registering online, individuals will be able to hunt deer, small game, and trap in accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) approved seasons, with the correct license and in compliance with local and state ordinances. Certain Greenseams® properties have hunting restricted due to local ordinances or other considerations. It is your responsibility, as a hunter, to know what laws apply to your activities and to ensure that you are within the applicable property boundaries. MMSD does not and cannot guarantee the status of applicable seasons, laws, and ordinances. Always verify applicable laws with the DNR and municipal officials. Hunting, trapping, and fishing on Greenseams® owned lands is at your own risk. Permission is granted for 1 year, beginning January 1st. Tree stands (except climbing tree stands) and motorized vehicles, including ATVs are strictly prohibited.
Please note, the list of properties open for hunting and trapping will vary each year. Property ownership and grants dictate which sites are open for hunting and trapping, and the rules that apply to each site. The maps below indicate which properties are owned by Greenseams and are open for hunting and trapping.

Use of Greenseams® Preserves is a privilege extended to all legally-permitted hunters who abide by the rules and regulations of the WDNR and MMSD. Failure to do so may result in loss of hunting privileges, and if warranted, referral to the WDNR and/or County Sheriff for possible enforcement action. Please visit the WDNR site for current regulations: http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/Hunt/

No Vehicles or ATVs
